Biographies

STEVE SNYDER

Steve Snyder is co-owner and Chief Instructor at the school. Additionally, Mr. Snyder assists with the operations of Living Defense Martial Arts National Association and manages communications for the Joe Lewis Fighting Systems (JLFS).   He predominately teaches all Adult Programs while assisting with the Junior Programs. Mr. Snyder receives martial arts instruction and training under the direction of Mr. Danny Dring (Little Rock, Ark). Mr. Snyder obtained his advanced education from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro and is a U.S. Naval Submarine Veteran. Outside the martial arts, Mr. Snyder most enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Mr. Snyder holds rank and maintains proficiency in all following arts:

- 5th Degree Black Belt and Senior Instructor (TaeKwonDo)
- 4th Degree Black Belt (Joe Lewis Fighting Systems)

- 3rd Degree Black Belt (Superfoot Systems)
- 1st Degree Black Belt (Weeping Style JuJutsu)
- 3rd Degree Black Belt (Total Fighting Systems)
- Brown Belt (Brazilian JiuJitsu)

- 2008 Pound for Pound Fight Trainer of the Year (Joe Lewis)

Mr. Snyder is one of the few black belts in the world to receive black belt rank under the two martial art legends: Mr. Joe Lewis and Mr. Bill "Superfoot" Wallace.  He made a major mark in his career by receiving the Pound for Pound Fight Trainer of the Year 2008 from Mr. Joe Lewis.

Mr. Snyder competed for many years in TaeKwonDo, Full-contact Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts Fighting (MMA). His focus is now guided towards training, teaching, and helping students to meet their goals.

 

MARIEA SNYDER

Mariea Snyder is co-owner and TaeKwonDo Master Instructor at the school. She predominately teaches the Dragons and Junior TaeKwonDo Programs, while assisting with the Adult Programs. Mrs. Snyder originally received her TaeKwonDo training under Mr. James Bailey (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and now trains under the direction of Mr. Danny Dring (Little Rock, Ark). Mrs. Snyder is highly influential in leading women to train in martial arts. As a mother of two children, she plays a vital role in the daily operations of the school and the Snyder household.

Mrs. Snyder holds rank and maintains proficiency in all following arts:
